Visiting Nasugbu, Batangas is definitely underrated compared to the more popular destinations in the Philippines. It’s beauty is also incomparable. Like what we’ve shared in our previous Batangas Travel Guides,  Nasugbu, Batangas is one of the most  beautiful places you can visit in the Philippines.

Only a few hours from Manila, there are many things to do in Nasugbu. You can dive, swim, snorkel, do island hops and do amazing trips in Nasugbu, Batangas.

During our days visiting Nasugbu, we had the honor to partner with Pico Sands Hotel, to show us around the area. Pico Sands Hotel is part of Pico de Lord Cove, which includes the Pico Loro Beach and Country Club.

How to get to Nasugbu and Pico de Loro

How to get to Nasugbu from Manila

To get to Nasugbu from Manila you have to ride a bus from Buendia or Pasay. It will take 3-4 hours depending on the traffic and it will cost around 160 PHP.

From Nasugbu City proper, they have surprisingly no jeepneys going to various places. Since Pico de Loro is a very remote area, and only travelers usually go there. If you don’t have your own car, your choice is to ride a tricycle for Php 200 or $4. This will take about 20 -30 minutes.

Once you reach the property, you’ll have to take the shuttle which costs another P200. Make sure you have arranged this beforehand, of you can talk to their property reception.

A few minutes walk from Pico Sands Hotel is the private beach – clear and beautiful. The scenery is very serene, and even if it was raining really hard during our stay, we were able to enjoy it. We weren’t able to visit the nearby cove unfortunately where you can snorkel and sea various sea creatures, because of the bad weather, so we enjoyed the beach instead.

Pico Sands Hotel

With the many hotels and guests houses we’ve already stayed in, by far Pico Sands Hotel has the best eye for details. For this trip, we were traveling with a child, and right in our room, they prepared small gifts (toys for the beach and stuffed animals).

Nearby the hotel, you have the views of the pool, the big lagoon, the condominiums and the very beautiful scenery in the middle. We spent time with the ducks, played in the bridge, and had so much fun walking around so much greenery.
