1 pound spaghetti
1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
1 medium onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
1 cup ricotta cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil

Step By Step How to Make Baked Spaghetti
Cook the Spaghetti
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Meat Sauce
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef or Italian sausage over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute. Stir in the marinara sauce, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
Prepare the Cheese Mixture
In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese, the Parmesan cheese, and the egg. Mix well until fully combined.
