HOW TO GET TO KATIBAWASAN FALLS
If you want to get from Mambajao to Katibawasan Falls will take around 15-20 minutes by motorbike. It’s around 8 kilometers far from mambajao the most popular are afor accommodation in Camiguin.
If you don’t feel comfortable riding a motorbike or you are a few people traveling. You can get a tricycle to get to Katibawasan Falls and also for a day tour in Camiguin.
KATIBAWASAN FALLS
Katibawasan Falls is located at the foot of Mt. Timpoong, Barang Upper Pandan, approximately five kilometers southeast of the Municipality of Mambajao. The waterfall measures 70 meters high.
There are a lot souvenir shops around the area and you will be welcomed with a big smile by the locals once you enter the premises.
We stayed only one hour since we were alone we could enjoy for ourselves at sunset time. But the water was so cold for swimming. Otherwise we would have stayed longer.
KATIBAWASAN FALLS ENTRANCE FEE
Katibawasan Falls entrance fee costs 50 PHP. There are no cottages for rent but there are tables where you can leave your belongings. You can find food to buy in the entrance.
The typical merienda in the island which looks like a crepe that is crunchy. It is made of ground cassava, quickly fried and drizzled with latik. They sell kiping in the most touristic areas like waterfalls and hot springs.
BEST TIME TO VISIT KATIBAWASAN FALLS IN CAMIGUIN
The best time to visit Katibawasan Falls is the first thing in the morning and you will be alone. You can enjoy swimming and taking pictures. The water is little bit cold.
WHERE TO STAY IN CAMIGUIN
YSLA BEACH CAMP AND ECO RESORT
