HOW TO GET FROM MANILA TO TAGAYTAY BY BUS
To get from Manila to Tagaytay by bus. You have to ride a bus from Cubao, San Agustin EDSA, Buendia or Pasay. If you take the bus from Manila to Tagaytay from Buendia you have to take the DLT Bus.
If you are taking the bus from Manila to Tagaytay from Pasay you will have to go to BSC Bus Terminal. The price will be 80 PHP. Manila to Tagaytay fare will be cheaper from Pasay than from Cubao since there is less distance and especially traffic.
To get to Tagaytay from Cubao. You have to get a bus from Araneta terminal will cost you around 120 PHP. It will take around 2 hours depending on the traffic and little bit more from Cubao.
Travel Tip: First thing in the morning you will find less traffic and maybe you will be able to reach Tagaytay in less than 2 hours.

HOW TO GET TO TAGAYTAY FROM MANILA BY VAN
The terminal is located at the EGI Mall near the LRT Gil Puyat Station. It will take less than two hours to reach Tagaytay. The price will be around 200 PHP little bit more expensive than the bus.

HOW TO GET FROM MANILA TO TAGAYTAY BY CAR
The distance from Manila to Tagaytay is around 70 kilometers from Cubao and less than 60 kilometers distance from Pasay. There are two ways to go from Manila to Tagaytay by car. Book Online Private Transportation From Manila to Tagaytay!

HOW TO GET TO TAGAYTAY FROM BATANGAS BY CAR
There are two ways to get to Tagaytay from Batangas by car. The first one passing by Lipa and Santo Tomas. The second one passing by Lemery.
HOW TO GET TO TAGAYTAY BY BUS FROM NASUGBU
If you have been spending a few days in Nasugbu and you are heading to Tagyatay you have to take the bus going to Manila. It will take more than an hour to reach Tagaytay from Nasugbu.
HOW TO GET TO TAGAYTAY FROM ANILAO BATANGAS BY BUS
During our visit to Tagaytay, we traveled from Anilao, Batangas. We took a 15-minute tricycle ride that cost 45 PHP per person and an hour-long jeepney ride for 35 PHP to Mabini. Then we had to take a bus to Palico and traveled for 2 hours. Upon reaching Palico, we took a bus and reached Tagaytay in an hour.
BEST TIME TO VISIT TAGAYTAY
Tagaytay is one of the coolest destinations in the Philippines, not just because of the places to visit in Tagaytay but also because of the weather. This town has much milder temperatures than other destinations in the Philippines, especially the nearby city of Manila.
However, rain does fall heavily during the wet season, so the best time to visit Tagaytay is from November to March, the town’s dry season. Click here to know more about the weather in Tagaytay.
WHAT TO DO IN TAGAYTAY
HIKING TAAL VOLCANO
One of our favorite things to do in Tagaytay was to hike Taal Volcano. It was an easy trek and we reached the view point in an hour, while going down took us around 40 minutes.
If you want to go to one of the most visited places in Tagaytay and the Philippines, you can take a trip to Taal Volcano, too. From here, you can get scenic views of Taal Lake with an entrance fee of 100 PHP per person.
VISIT SKY RANCH
Another interesting spot to visit in Tagaytay is Sky Ranch, a park that’s perfect for families because of all the great rides and panoramic views as it overlooks Taal Volcano.
There’s an entrance fee of 100 PHP to Sky Ranch, while a ride on the Sky Eye, the park’s giant ferris wheel, costs 150 PHP. Sky Ranch is open daily from 10 AM to 8 PM.

WHAT TO EAT IN TAGAYTAY
BULALO
There are various restaurants in Tagaytay that offer bulalo, a light colored beef shank stew cooked with vegetables like cabbage, lettuce and corn. The highlight of this dish is the shan’s bone marrow that has a silky smooth texture that melts like butter in your mouth.

BARAKO COFFEE
One of the best products that Cavite and Batangas has to offer is kapeng barako, or barako coffee. It has a strong taste and has therefore been named after the colloquial word for a stud, someone who’s very macho, a man’s man, a barako.
BUKO PIE
Though this tasty treat traditionally comes from Laguna, buko pie has made its way to Tagaytay as one of the best things you can take home after a trip in the city. Buko pie is made with coconuts and custard sweetened with condensed milk.
Some of the best bukopies available in Tagaytay come from Colette’s Buko Pie and Pasalubong along Aguinaldo Highway and Orient: The Original Buko Pie Bakeshop along the Sta. Rosa-Tagaytay Road.

Taal is the best adventure that you can do while in Tagaytay, but there are definitely other things that you can do. There are many places to stay in Tagaytay, for example. Either for shorter family vacations and celebrations, or for longer trips. Our choice was Taal Vista Hotel – definitely the perfect place to stay in Tagaytay.
This was a special choice for us because from our room, we already have the view of Taal Lake. We spent a couple of days enjoying the view of the volcano. The sunrises were totally amazing. You can feel the luxury of staying in one of the top hotels in Tagaytay. We enjoyed walking around the gardens, enjoying the facilities and the comfort of our room. It’s the perfect place for relaxing and it’s located in a very quiet area.

Another hotel from Eco Hotel, Located in Tagaytay, Cabins by Eco Hotel Tagaytay offers non-smoking air conditioned rooms. Free public parking is available on site. Each room comes with a flat-screen cable TV and a ceiling fan.
Some rooms come with either a lake or garden view. Private bathrooms are equipped with shower and bidet. Cabins by Eco Hotel Tagaytay provide towels, while complimentary toiletries are available upon request. You can stay for a night at $60 a room.
