Getting To Samal Island

Our chosen route for getting to Samal Island: We flew from Manila with Air Asia to Davao City and spent around 2 hours on the plane. From Davao International Airport, you can ride 2 jeepneys to reach the pier.

From there, you will ride a boat to go to Samal. There are boats at the port that leave as early as 4 AM. Since we weren’t really in a hurry, we stayed in the airport for the night and got going at around 10 AM.
