Best Time to visit Nusa Lembongan
Nusa Lembongan is a destination that can be visited all year round! The best time to visit Nusa Lembongan is from April to October. Those who are interested in diving should visit from September to November to enjoy the best diving spots.
If you’re backpacking Nusa Lembongan in July, August, and the Christmas holidays, make sure to book your tickets in advance as it is the island’s high season.

How to get to Nusa Lembongan
How to get from Bali to Nusa Lembongan (Sanur Boat to Nusa Lembongan)
If you want to get from Bali to Nusa Lembongan by boat. The easiest route to take when traveling from Sanur in Bali to Nusa Lembongan. Sanur is close to the airport and most of the boats to Nusa Lembongan are leaving from this beach.
You can reach Sanur through Go Jek, Grab and Blue Bird Taxi. If you will stay in Canggu, Kuta or Ubud it will take you around one hour or more (depending on the traffic) to reach Sanur.
If you want to get from Sanur Bali to Nusa Lembongan. Once in Sanur the boat to Nusa Lembongan travel time will be about 30 minutes to Nusa Lembongan. Prices are around 350K IND Rupiah ($25 USD) to go both ways. When we arrived and our first impression? Heaven because we are finally seeing blue waters and white sand in Bali.
There are a few departures from 8 am to 5 30 pm (different companies running boats every hour) last boat leaving from Sanur Bali to Nusa Lembongan. But there are also a few companies so it will be boats leaving from Sanur very often between the schedule above.
There are two destinations in Nusa Lembongan with the fast boat: Jungut Batu and Mushroom Bay.

Cheapest way to get from Bali to Nusa Lembongan
If you want to get from Bali to Nusa Lembongan the cheapest way because you are traveling on a budget. There are slow boats going from Sanur Bali to Nusa Lembongan.
The prices is around 100K IND Rupiah and the boat travel time Bali to Nusa Lembongan will be around 1 hour and 30 minutes. The departure is from Ananda Hotel or Grand Inna Bali Beach Hotel.
And you can buy the ticket in the main street at the end of the street near the beach (ask around for more information). The slow boat departure is around 10 30 am from Sanur. And if you are coming from Nusa Lembongan it will leave 8 am. You can’t go to Nusa Lembongan with the slow boat and coming back in the same day. You will have to get a fast boat or stay in Nusa Lembongan what we can recommend you to do it at least 1-2 nights.
How to get from Nusa Penida to Nusa Lembongan
If you want to get from Nusa Penida to Nusa Lembongan. There are public boats going from Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan to North Nusa Penida leaving around 6 am.
You can also get a boat going from Nusa Lembongan to Nusa Penida for 60K IDR one way or 120K IDR return. The boats are good enough for around 10 people and you just need to wait until is full.
The boats leave from Yellow Bridge and get to Toya Pakeh Harbour in Nusa Penida. It will take around 15 minutes to get there. If you want to return to Nusa Lembogan from Nusa Penida you have to do do the same and boats are leaving from 2pm to 5 pm.
Once in Toya Pakeh you will find places to stay if you are planning to spend a few days in Nusa Penida Island as we recommend you to do. You can also rent a motorbike for around 70-80K IDR and drive around the island.

How to get to from Serangan Harbour Bali to Nusa Lembongan
If you want get from Serangan Harbour Bali to Nusa Lembongan . There are also fast boats leaving from this port with prices 350K-400K INR for return ticket.
The travel time Bali to Nusa Lembongan is similar than Sanur around 40 minutes and schedule from 8 am to 4 pm there are a few daily boats leaving every hour.
How to get to Nusa Lembongan by Cruise
If you want to get to Nusa Lembongan by fast cruise you will have to get to Benoa Harbour close to Sanur beach. Prices are higher than the speed boat and it’s great if you are traveling with a group of people to have more comfort and privacy.
How to get to Nusa Lembongan from Padang Bai
There is a daily ferry from Padang Bai to Nusa Lembongan. This option is great if you are staying in Ubud since it’s closer to the port than Sanur Harbour.
There is only one company operating Bali Eka Jaya and the ferry will take 45 minutes to reach Nusa Lembongan. From Padang Bai there also daily ferries (fast ferry and slow ferry) going to Nusa Penida Island.
How to get to Nusa Lembongan from Bali Organized Tour

How to get to Nusa Penida Island from Lombok and Gili Islands
If you want to get to Nusa Lembongan from Lombok and Gili Islands there is a daily boat leaving 12 45 pm from Lombok in Senggigi. The ferry is getting to Gili Trawangan at 1 15 pm and getting to Nusa Lembongan at 4 pm. Prices are around 600K INR for one way.
If you want to go from Nusa Lembongan to Lombok the ferry leaves at 10 30 am and getting to Gili Trawangan at 12 45 pm and 1 15 pm to Senggigi Teluk Kode in Lombok.
Where to Stay in Nusa Lembongan
If you are coming from Sanur, we recommend you to stay near the port. There are a few options in Nusa Lembongan for accommodations from guesthouses and inns to nice hotels and resorts.
Room rates start at 200k IND Rupiah ($15 USD) for a private room with bathroom. You can get a modest room for this price and comes with pretty good internet connection. I mean, sure, there’s internet signal but don’t expect high speeds when in Nusa Lembongan.
The first time we visited Nusa Lembongan a year ago, we stayed near the local port coming from Padang Bai and prices were much cheaper then. We found a room for only 150k IND Rupiah. We highly recommend staying near the port since it’s very convenient to travel from here.
