How to get to Hundred Islands National Park

Hundred Islands National Park is located in Pangasinan Province. The group of 123 islands are quite popular for Filipinos especially in the weekend and summer. We will write about our experience how to get to Hundred Islands from Manila and Pampanga. It can be done in a long day trip from Manila and Angeles City. But if you have time,we recommend you to extend your trip to the North and go visit La Union, ViganIlocos Norte as well, and why not include Pagudpud, too!

Best time to visit Hundred islands

Pangasinan where Hundred Islands is located has dry season from November to April and the wet season from May to October. It is recommended dry season from December to February when temperatures are cooler. And you will not be interrupted by rains and will not be really hot going around.

How to get to Hundred Islands National Park

How to get to Hundred Islands National Park from Manila

To get to Hundred Islands National Park if you are coming from Manila. You have to rid a bus to Alaminos City. Victory Lines have routes from Manila to Alaminos. The fare is 400 PHP and travel time is around 5-6 hours depending on the traffic. There are buses running from Cubao anytime of the day.

Once you are in Alaminos. You have to ride a tricycle to reach to the tourism information center in Hundred Islands, which is around 5-6 kilometers away from where you will be dropped off. The fare of the tricycle is around 100 PHP . And you can share the ride with other people. If you go early morning like we did, we suggest to stop half of the way to grab some food in a carinderia or any other place available.

We chose this option since we are based in Angeles City in Pampanga and we traveled by bus to Hundred Islands National Park. We took a night bus from Dau and the travel time was around 3-4 hours with a stopover in Tarlac. The fare of the bus is 275 PHP per person.

Once you are in Alaminos City, again you have to ride a tricycle to reach to the tourism information center which is around 5-6 kilometers away from where you will be dropped off. The fare of the tricycle is 100 PHP, shareable with other passengers if you are riding with them.

How to get to Hundred Islands National Park from Dagupan City

If you are going to Hundred islands National Park from Dagupan City there is an hour by bus until Alaminos Bus Terminal. From the Bus Terminal you have to ride a tricycle 100 PHP for 10 minutes ride to Lucap Wharf.

How to get to Hundred Islands National Park from Baguio

There are buses from Victory Liner the ride is 3 hours from Baguio to Alaminos Bus Terminal. Once you are in the Bus Terminal you have to ride a tricycle to Lucap Wharf around 10 minutes ride.

How to get to Hundred islands from La Union

There are buses going from San Fernando to Alaminos Bus Terminal. Also there are boats going to Bolinao. Once in Bolinao you have to ride a bus to Alaminos around one hour.

How to get to Hundred Islands National Park

There are places to stay in Hundred Islands, especially at at Governors Island, Children Island and Quezon Island.You can also bring your own tent or even rent one in Hundred Islands for 500 PHP. The fee for camping is 200 PHP per tent.
