We have been to Singapore a lot since most of the flights going back to the Philippines usually stop here. We always try to spend 2-3 days around the city. This time we were coming from our 3 month trip from Bangkok, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Bali.

How to get to Singapore from the airport

There are a few options from the airport in Singapore. The cheapest one is by metro which costs around $5 SGD to get to the city and it will take you around 40 minutes depending on the place that you are staying. There are taxi services available or you can opt for Grab and Uber if you want to get cheaper option. There are also bus rides going to the city.

This time we were doing a collaboration with Hotel Jen Orchardgateway and they picked us up in their limousine service. For us, it was really amazing especially after spending a long night at Bali International Airport because our flight was still at 5 am. Thanks to their limousine service we didn’t have to worry about transportation anymore.

The driver offered us cold water and gave us all the info that we need for our stay in Singapore. The limousine even has a wifi and a charger just in case you are running out of battery like in our case. This service was very comfortable and convenient after a long flight!

First Impressions and The Room at Hotel Jen Orchardgateway

Our room had all the comfort that we need for two days, we even had the perfect view of the city. We were also surprised to be part of The Club where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee, and tea with snacks for the whole day. We also had our lunch delivered via room service which was perfect because we had to catch up with work. Super comfortable!

The area of the hotel was really nice and quiet. It’s also located very close to the main attractions. You can have a bus stop in front of the hotel or you can also opt for the metro. You just need to get a map and check the schedule to be able to go around Singapore.

Pool Area

Our favorite area in the hotel, as always, was the infinity pool located at the rooftop. You can enjoy the view of the city while swimming and taking very nice photos.

And you can see the ultra famous Marina Bay Sands Hotel, we were lucky because you can enjoy the light show from the rooftop of Hotel Jen.

Food in The Club

The food is delicious in The Club and the view was really amazing. There are coffee, tea, and sodas available all day. Yes, from 5 30 to 7 30 pm you can enjoy beers and wine as a complimentary part of your stay while having snacks or almost early dinner before watching the light show on the rooftop.

We really loved Hotel Jen Orchargateaway, everything was perfectly organized by the staff, the food, the room, the pool, it was all great.  You should check them out for your next trip to Singapore. Click here if you want to book for your staying with Hotel Jen!

Yes, the most popular Marina Bay Sands is our favorite in Singapore and we also totally recommend that you visit The Gardens of The Bay at night where you can see the lights. If you also have time during the day it’s also worth it to visit. We did both at the same time, around sunset time we were already around the area waiting for the night while watching the beautiful lights.

Make sure you book your accommodation before your trip!
