Cycling around Cantabria we had an interesting anecdote in San Vicente de la Barquera , we went cycling and Gonzalo and me commented that we needed to buy bread , when a man called us and gave us bread . Its amazing how people can help you while you are traveling . People cheered us up a lot !!

We visited Comillas , really nice town . We did a fast touristic visit and we stopped for getting energy !! When it was getting dark , an hour before getiing Santander . We asked in a town , when we can pitch the tent and Eva , very friendly , offered us to sleep in  her bar , covering us  from the rain and wind .

In the morning , Eva woke us up and she treated us for coffee !! We spent a couple of hours talking to her and people from the town . After a great talk , we cycled to Santander and we visited the city during the day . It was raining the whole day sadly . Santander is great city and very beautiful !! Downtown was nice to walk around and we visited Sardinero Beaches and around there .

At night we went to sleep at Luis  home , our host by couchsurfing . We shared a couple of beers with him and travel experiences , Luis was traveling a lot , also by bicycle . The best part of the day  was the shower , without doubt , after too much rain , we felt as new people !! Luis gave us information about the route and we left on the way to Bilbao .

The day was very hard , up and down all the time , plus rainy and cold . Gonzalo had a couple of flat tyres , it makes you stop and lose time . The views from the road were amazing , especially Laredo . We werent lucky with the weather for visiting them and we we cycled direct to our next destination : Bilbao .
