Its big and beautiful country . I stayed two weeks . I visited the capital , Santiago , also Valparaiso , Valpo . Prices are expensive , the most expensive , in South America . Food , transportation , acommodation are expensive . You need to go local markets , cook by yourself , couchsurfing and hitchhiking , if you dont want to spend too much money . People are friendly and hospitable . Hitchhiking works really good . Roads are really good and truck drivers usually drive you for long distances .
Gastronomy , I focused in street food . Sopaipilla , its like a fried bread , mote con huesillos , its a refreshing drink . Poroto , stew with white beans . About drinks , wine is really good . Beer is cheap . I tried earthquake , terremoto , sweet wine , which is very srtrong , as his own name says …
There are social inequality in the country . Salaries , there is a big gap between minimum and graduate people . Mentality is little bit consevative . Police , called pacos , are very strict . Stand of living is very similar to Europe . Chilean people love travelers and they are very friendly and hospitable with them . I didnt visit Patagonia and Atacama dessert . I hope next time !!
